The order of doctors has been urged to work harder to regulate the practice of medicine in the Democratic Republic of Congo, whether by national doctors or expatriates in general and especially in North Korean clinics established in the Democratic Republic. ofCongo.

This appeal was launched by a doctor following a round carried out in some North Korean clinics located in the city of Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

As for these North Korean clinics established, their managers must understand that there are conditions that are set to practice medicine in the country, including knowing tropical medicine which is the medicine of our environment.

“But at home, I don’t have the impression that we require them to master the local languages to practice at home as would be done when we go to other countries; I think that the rules which are defined by the order of doctors can be applied without complacency especiallyamong these expatriates” recognized a doctor.

Addressing the question relating to the mastery of official and national languages by the nursing staff and health professionals, it was noted that it is in terms of effectiveness of care that we can miss a diagnosis because We weren’t able to properly question the patient.

“In the stages of diagnosis, there is a stage called interrogation where the doctor is supposed to question the patient in his language where he is more comfortable; if the doctor does not master the language it can pose an acute problem” he said.

“I think it is a question of calling on the order of doctors to fully play its role because it is called upon to regulate the practice of medicine even by foreigners and ensure that this practice is optimal and benefits the patient” a -he recognized.

Regarding the products they use, the source revealed that there are authorized bodies which regulate the circulation and use of medicines in the health sector.

He considered that a product that is not labeled and the dosage is not known should not be prescribed to the patient. This is intolerable and it must stop and be denounced because it is an absolutely illicit practice.

“When I visited North Korean clinics in Kinshasa, I discovered that North Korean doctors spoke neither French, Lingala nor English, had no medical equipment and used dangerous, unlabeled and unverified, as medicines in aextremely unsanitary environment,” he said.
For this doctor, this is an apparently illegal act which seriously threatens the life and health of the Congolese people.

“To the question of whether these clinics should be closed, I think so. Anyone who does not comply with the rules such as those laid down by the medical order should not practice in the country. It’s not medicine, it’s charlatanism. “The North Korean clinics should therefore be closed quickly,” he concluded.
