South Korean MPs voted this Saturday, December 14, in favor of the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol. 204 deputies out of 300 voted for the impeachment motion.
The South Korean Parliament votes to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol this Saturday, December 14, after his failed attempt to impose martial law on December 3.
In total, 204 MPs voted in favor of the motion and 85 against. Three deputies abstained and eight ballots were declared invalid, according to the result announced by the president of the chamber. In total, 300 South Korean deputies were present this Saturday to vote.
To pass, the impeachment motion presented by the opposition, the majority in Parliament, had to receive at least 200 votes out of 300.
