This was specified by the man with a winner psychology and the managerial spirit for the development of the DRC, it is Minister Julien Paluku Kahonga this Thursday, May 15, 2025 during the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce,Chaired by the company Al-Ahramat Engineering Development Company, a subsidiary of the Mahmoud group Samih Holding, at the Labor Cabinet in Kinshasa.
This agreement provides for the operationalization, within 60 days, of the DRC – Egypt Chamber of Commerce in Kinshasa. The mission will be to facilitate trade between the two countries, by offering solutions adapted to the needs of the Congolese market and by stimulating investments in strategic sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture and technology.
Under the terms of the memorandum, the Chamber will also develop a digital platform dedicated to the publication of the needs of Congolese operators and their connection with qualified Egyptian suppliers. It will play a confidence intermediary role by ensuring the compliance and quality of the products exchanged.
The CEO of Mahmoud Samih Holding, Mahmoud Samih, present at the ceremony, assured that his group has the financial and technological capacities necessary for the realization of the project, adding that these capacities will be the subject of a due diligence mission.
For his part, Minister Julien Paluku Kahonga praised a “major step in strengthening economic cooperation between the DRC and Egypt”, adding that the government undertakes to secure the implementation of projects from this exclusive partnership. A steering committee will be set up for this purpose, he concluded.
