In the press release “The anthropologist researcher, founder of the Nasser International Forum, Hassan Ghazaly, stressed that the theme of the Fifth Promotion of the Nasser Stock Exchange for International Leadership, highlights the historic role of Egypt.”

In this purpose, Egypt participated in the United Nations Foundation in 1945 and, it played a central role by supporting the causes of the Global South.

The founder of the Nasser International Forum added that “Egypt played a crucial role in the independence of many countries in the South Global in the 1950s and 1960s. She even led intensive efforts to support these countries in the UN organization even before their independence, transferring their national Cairo leaders to New York to present their fair causes before the United Nations General Assembly, in agreement with the principle ofsolidarity between the countries of the global south. “

He stressed “that with the evolution of the role of the United Nations in support for sustainable development, Egypt has remained at the forefront of countries working to promote this trajectory in the Global South, in accordance with the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations for sustainable development.

Egypt has also launched many initiatives and, in recent years, has focused on the implementation of the South-South cooperation principle.

It should be recalled that the Nasser Stock Exchange for Leadership was implemented for the first time in 2019, as the first Afro-African youth purse, coinciding with the Egyptian presidency of the African Union under the patronage of the Council of Ministers . This initiative aimed to transmit the Egyptian development experience in a concrete way and to promote the concept of South-South cooperation, in which Egypt plays a leading role. Since its first edition, the Stock Exchange has benefited from the sponsorship of the President of the Republic Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi during his second, third and fourth editions, carried out respectively in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The scholarship has expanded to include Asian, Australian, American (Latin American) and European continents, in addition to Africa, which has been the cornerstone since its launch.
